INTRODUCTION : The first wireless Apple airPods was created on December 13, 2016 and was designed by Apple Inc, it was manufactured by Luxshare-ICT and GoerTek. The first wireless airPods was first announced on September 7, 2016, within two years of its official release they had become Apple’s most popular accessory. Apple Airpods are wireless bluetooth earbuds that are designed specifically to work with iphone’s, ipad’s, and macbook’s. In addition, you can even pair these wireless earbuds to any Apple TV. Airpods aren’t just your regular earbuds, these completely wireless devices have no wires at all and are not connected to each other. Both earpieces have separate bluetooth radios that can either work together or individually. This does mean that you don’t need to deal with the irritating feeling of getting your wires tangled up. Also, if you have an iphone 7 or later phone, you can simultaneously use airpods while charging your phone. The use of airPods is to create a better and more efficient way for apple users to listen to music, podcasts, phone calls and other streaming services, without constantly needing to pull out their phone and manually switching between each app. On October 3, 2021 Apple released its third version of the apple airPods series, hence giving it the name AirPods(generation 3). The third generation airPods came with better features and provided a better listening experience for all apple users.

BODY : The new generation 3 airpods is the most efficient in the apple airpods series. It’s functions include adaptive EQ, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, H1 headphone chip, Sweat and water resistant (IPX4) and Works with MagSafe charger, Qi-certified chargers, or the Lightning connector.

ADAPTIVE EQ : The generation three airPods is the only out of the three to have Adaptive EQ. Adaptive EQ is a feature that Apple includes over-ear and airpod-pro earbuds. It is a system used to create equalized sound tailored to the shape of your ear, therefore providing listeners with a personalized listening experience. The microphones adjust how sound is transmitted inside your ear. Apple appreciates that everyone’s ears are shaped differently, therefore music and sounds will play differently and adjust for each unique ear.

SPATIAL AUDIO/DYNAMIC HEAD TRACKING : Spatial Audio is Apple’s own immersive sound technology that uses the various sensors in the generation 3 airpods. This feature creates a virtual space based on the location of the listener’s head and the device they are listening from, with the dynamic it makes so that the music changes as you turn your head. For instance, if you turn your head left, the music that previously felt like it was coming straight at you will now sound more prominent in your right ear. And the opposite will happen if you turn your head to the right with your left ear. The idea is to simulate a real concert experience so that as you move around, the music changes and it sounds more lifelike and immersive.

H1 HEADPHONE CHIP : H1 Headphone chips are chips that are built into generation three airpods, in order to increase the performance of the earbud. The first big perk is that the airpods with the integrated H1 chip pair quickly to Apple devices and ensure auto-connecting once they are powered on. It also includes improved lower latency, and the move from Bluetooth 4.2 to 5.0, the H1 also allows for the launching of Siri via voice command rather than the double-tap required on the 1st generation AirPods. Finally, the third big advantage promised by the H1 chip is improved power efficiency, meaning that the generation 3 airpods have a longer battery life. With this chip the generation 3 has up to 6 hours of listening time with a single charge.

Sweat and water resistant (IPX4) : AirPods generation three, and the MagSafe Charging Case for the AirPods generation three are water and sweat resistant. Sweat and water resistance is effective after workouts, heavy sweating, or water splashes.

CONCLUSION : To Conclude, the airPods generation three earbuds are the most effective and efficient earbuds in the Apple airPods series. From the Motion-detecting accelerometer, Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking and the MagSafe, wireless, and Lightning charging. The generation three airpods are an earbud powerhouse that all Apple users should invest their money into.
